Where to begin...

So much has happened since January 22nd! I am absolutely loving my life right now although I seem to be complaining a lot here lately. I'm still working two jobs and really loving being busy. I cannot imagine those single parents who work two jobs and manage to keep up with their kids' activities. Shooo!

I'm planning to go to Memphis next week to pay for summer school and look for a second job down there. I will still be working at Gap downtown and hopefully helping out at Banana Republic as well, but I've learned the past few months that waitressing is definitely where the "fast" money is. I know that the next two years I won't be able to work as much as I have been so I want to be somewhere that I can survive on less hours. So I'll be downtown applying at every restaurant I find! Exciting I think!

I have truly enjoyed the past few weeks as our neighbors finally arrived back with their new son, Louis, from Ukraine! He is adorable and so loving. Everytime I go outside he wanders over to "check things out!" I let him help me plant and water flowers yesterday. He now knows how to turn on the water hose and water the weeds in the yard. Thank you Louis!!

God has been dealing with my heart the past few months as well. Being raised in church my whole life, I often neglect to search the scriptures to find exactly why I believe what I believe. Walt and I have been seeking God's guidance as we look toward the future. Being raised in different denominations we struggled as to where God was pointing us to serve Him together in the coming years. He's still dealing with us and I ask that you pray for us to follow His lead, even if it's out of our current comfort zone.

I have CPR training on April 30 and start clinicals on May 5th. I'm so excited to start this new part of school. I will continually pray this verse in the coming years.
"...let us also lay aside every weight and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." -Hebrews 12:1b-3

No new pictures this time. I let Ashley borrow my camera to take to the beach. I'm excited to see her pictures. I'll post some of them next time...

This was taken on December 28th after
Walt spoke at his church in Ripley.
He did a fantastic job!
This was taken the day after Christmas in Ripley. Notice my necklace Walt surprised me with for Christmas! It's beautiful and so me! I told him he probably wouldn't be able to top it!

He we ALL are on Christmas Eve. We sang at my parent's
church for Vesper Service.

This is our lovely Christmas tree at my house. Mom loves the
peppermint look and don't tell her but I love it too!

Well I'm home now and have been since mid December actually. We had a lovely Christmas and I got to see lots of my family and friends. I met a lot of Walt's family as well and they are such nice people.
I just got off work, yes work! I have three jobs and am staying super busy. I love it though; for the past eight years I haven't known anything other than being busy. I'm working in the church nursery on Sunday mornings and some Wednesday nights. The kids are so precious and love playing with PlayDoh almost as much as I do ;o) I'm also working at Snappy's, it's a pizza buffet and is super yummy! I get to eat for free every time I work so you know I'm taking full advantage of that..... And last but not least I started training this week as a server at The Opera House. It's a lovely restaurant here in downtown Martin and has been restored. It's beautiful inside and has wonderfully amazing food. I'm learning my way around and also learning how to be a server as well, I'm a little nervous but those nerves will pass soon I'm sure! I always know that God will take care of me in His own time and all three of these jobs came in a matter of two weeks. That makes me smile!

Walt and I are still doing great! I still wonder how I got so lucky to have a guy as great as he is! He definitely treats me like a princess everyday. We had so much fun around Christmas time. We went to see TransSiberian Orchestra a few days before Christmas with our best friends Bradley and Julianne. It was a sight to see. The light show was amazing and the music was really good too. I don't know that we will make a tradition of it though. It was a REALLY long show and Walt isn't really into "musicals" especially three hour ones! We were planning on going to the last Titans home game but my sister got home from Iraq the night before and I wanted to see her. Then we got free box tickets to the Tennessee Men's Basketball game in Nashville but we were "iced" in and weren't able to get out. So I got to see my "musical" but poor Walt couldn't go to either of his sports events he had planned. I was really sad about that :( I'll definitely have to make it up to him...he informed me yesterday that Cub's Spring Training starts in approximately 20 days! So there's my hint haha

I'm really enjoying being home this semester. I'm sure this break before clinicals hit will be greatly appreciated once I start back. I'm trying not to get too spoiled and will start studying soon enough! Walt got hit yesterday with lots of work and labs and studying so this will be a good test for us not to see each other every day like we have been :(

I'm about to start cleaning...my car looks like a tornado hit, my room is just cluttered and the bathroom needs a once over as well. So I'm about to hit that. Job #2 starts in less than three hours! Yay!!!
