Where to begin...

So much has happened since January 22nd! I am absolutely loving my life right now although I seem to be complaining a lot here lately. I'm still working two jobs and really loving being busy. I cannot imagine those single parents who work two jobs and manage to keep up with their kids' activities. Shooo!

I'm planning to go to Memphis next week to pay for summer school and look for a second job down there. I will still be working at Gap downtown and hopefully helping out at Banana Republic as well, but I've learned the past few months that waitressing is definitely where the "fast" money is. I know that the next two years I won't be able to work as much as I have been so I want to be somewhere that I can survive on less hours. So I'll be downtown applying at every restaurant I find! Exciting I think!

I have truly enjoyed the past few weeks as our neighbors finally arrived back with their new son, Louis, from Ukraine! He is adorable and so loving. Everytime I go outside he wanders over to "check things out!" I let him help me plant and water flowers yesterday. He now knows how to turn on the water hose and water the weeds in the yard. Thank you Louis!!

God has been dealing with my heart the past few months as well. Being raised in church my whole life, I often neglect to search the scriptures to find exactly why I believe what I believe. Walt and I have been seeking God's guidance as we look toward the future. Being raised in different denominations we struggled as to where God was pointing us to serve Him together in the coming years. He's still dealing with us and I ask that you pray for us to follow His lead, even if it's out of our current comfort zone.

I have CPR training on April 30 and start clinicals on May 5th. I'm so excited to start this new part of school. I will continually pray this verse in the coming years.
"...let us also lay aside every weight and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." -Hebrews 12:1b-3

No new pictures this time. I let Ashley borrow my camera to take to the beach. I'm excited to see her pictures. I'll post some of them next time...

  • That I can find a job and my parents keep theirs.
